Little Henri was a place I couldn't wait to visit because it's so close to my place that it's opening was a beacon of hot coffee on a hung over morning. The setting is wonderful, the style is amazing and the people are nice, but to my disappointment it has none of the heart I was hoping for. The coffee was good but you pay extra for soy (a horror in this part of town) and it's already pretty expensive. The food is much better, everything looks completely amazing, but again it's pricey and they don't take card. Now don't get me wrong, i'm not that fussy, coffee is fine, food is good but Little Henri is still lacking something that i cant quite put my finger on. Perhaps it was the music (very clubby and loud for a tuesday morning at 9am) and the fact that the space is huge so even when it was filled it felt empty. Overall i'll be back because time and coffee matters, but for lovely brunch with friends or family I'll be hunting for somewhere else with more life, heart, and smiles.
